Elle Fanning's Robert Wun Couture at the 'Sunrise on the Reaping' London Premiere — Plus Mckenna Grace's Arena-Embroidered Almée Gown and Whitney Peak in Chanel
The cast turned a Westfield London fan screening into a full costume-department victory lap, with three gowns built to echo their characters

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping held its London fan premiere at the HMV Westfield Shopping Centre on October 28, 2026, ahead of the film's November 20 US release. Elle Fanning, Mckenna Grace and Whitney Peak each used the red carpet the same way: as a costume-department extension, with gowns built to echo the characters they play on screen rather than just a designer name for the sake of it.
Elle Fanning: Robert Wun Couture
Fanning, who plays a young Effie Trinket, wore a Robert Wun Fall 2026 Couture gown: a strapless bodice with exaggerated, rippling peplum detailing over a voluminous tulle skirt in soft blush pink, an architectural silhouette built to channel Effie's Capitol extravagance without losing Fanning's usual soft, ballet-inspired register. She kept the look's runway headpiece — a sculptural oval frame enclosing a miniature ballerina — rather than swapping it for something safer, and paired it with classic pink pumps instead of the runway's sculptural heels. Stylist Samantha McMillen dressed her.

Mckenna Grace: an Almée Couture gown that recreates the arena
Grace, who plays Maysilee Donner, wore a fitted, floor-length Almée Couture gown with hand-beaded embroidery in blues and greens arranged into swirling skies, mountains and rolling fields — a direct recreation of the arena landscape from the film's own promotional imagery, not just a thematic color choice. Purple three-dimensional flowers cascade down the dress into a sheer, shimmering train. It's the latest entry in what's become a consistent method-dressing strategy for Grace on this press tour, tying her wardrobe directly to the franchise's visual world rather than treating premieres as a separate styling exercise. Molly Dickson styled the look.

Whitney Peak: Chanel Haute Couture, head to toe
Peak, who plays Lenore Dove Baird — Haymitch Abernathy's girlfriend and a member of the Covey — wore look 25 from Chanel's Spring 2026 Haute Couture collection: layers of pastel chiffon and intricate smocking set against black textured detailing across the bodice, over a softly pleated skirt. The contrast between delicate pastel layers and the dark, textured bodice reads as a nod to her character's artistic background and to the film's wider interest in Panem's social divides. She wore it with Chanel High Jewellery — Tweed Frangé asymmetrical diamond earrings and a Soleil Gansé diamond ring from the 1932 collection — and Chanel sandals, styled by Karla Welch. Makeup artist Yacine Diallo used Chanel Beauty products throughout, aiming for what the brand described as a luminous, ethereal finish rather than full-glam red-carpet makeup.
Also on the carpet were Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Ralph Fiennes and Jesse Plemons, alongside director Francis Lawrence and producer Nina Jacobson, though the three leading women's looks were the ones built around the film's own imagery rather than standard eveningwear. With the film's wide release still three weeks out, expect at least one more round of this on the US press tour — these three have clearly decided the costumes don't stop at the camera.
